BCS Rankings Week 14 - November 28, 2010

Will there be any movement in the BCS rankings for week 14? The latest BCS rankings will be revealed Sunday evening during ESPN's BCS Countdown show, which is scheduled to start at 8:15 PM ET.

Last week's BCS rankings had Oregon on top, followed by Auburn, TCU and Boise State. Boise State (10-1), LSU (10-2) and Oklahoma State (10-2) lost, will that be enough to drop them out of the top 10?

Video: Whitewater Kayakers Running the Plunge on Icicle Creek

I was over in Leavenworth one evening last week taking a look at the Plunge drop on Icicle Creek with Charles from AquaSports and we happened to run into this guy Nels, who told us he thought Darren Albright was going to be running it soon.  Sure enough, a few minutes later Darren came down [...]

Well, obviously, Antoine Dodson is a huge UFC fan, homeboy

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- In UFC president Dana White's latest video blog for UFC 123, we learn that Antoine Dodson, of "The Bed Intruder Song" fame, is a big Quinton "Rampage" Jackson fan. It's worth watching the whole thing -- the language is NSFW -- but the first minute is golden.

Amazing. Not only that, but UFC lightweight Kenny Florian and color commentator Joe Rogan are huge Dodson fans, then again, who isn't? Dodson is expected to go to the fights at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday night to cheer on Rampage. He yelled like crazy for Jackson during Friday's weigh-ins.

Run and tell that, homeboy.

College Football Bowl Projections, 2010

college football bowl projectionsWith Stanford moving up to No. 4 in the BCS rankings, the Cardinal have all but locked up a berth in a BCS bowl game.

The question is which one? There is a scenario that could put the Cardinal in any of the five BCS bowls. The most likely destination for the Cardinal is either the Orange or Fiesta Bowls.

While Stanford's bowl is not clear, the BCS national title is set -- as long as BCS No. 1 Auburn and No. 2 Oregon win on Saturday. The Tigers play South Carolina in the SEC title game, while Oregon visits Oregon State in the Civil War.

If either team is upset, that could open the door for No. 3 TCU (12-0), which on Monday accepted an invitation to play in the Big East beginning in 2012, to earn a spot in the BCS title game.

Here are FanHouse's bowl projections as of Monday, Nov. 29. Check back daily as we'll provide updates as bowls start making their official announcements.

Monday night, FanHouse reported East Carolina will be headed to the Military Bowl and Southern Miss to the Beef "O" Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl.

McCourt Divorce at an 'Impasse' on Settlement Talks

by Jon Weinbach

Jamie McCourtLOS ANGELES -- The War of the McCourts has now hung over the Los Angeles Dodgers for more than a year -- and it will likely continue into 2011.

Despite months of legal wrangling and embarrassing revelations, Frank and Jamie McCourt have been unable to reach a settlement in their high-profile divorce. In the latest development, Judge Peter Lichtman, a court-appointed mediator, asked the couple to decide on his latest settlement proposal by noon on Tuesday: Frank accepted it, but Jamie apparently rejected the offer.

The terms of the proposal are confidential, and Lichtman has ordered attorneys not to discuss the offer or the mediation process.

Nonetheless, Frank's side went on the public-relations offensive Tuesday afternoon. In a statement, Frank's attorney Marc Seltzer accused Jamie of "allowing this matter to drag on further," and noted that Frank accepted the settlement proposal because "he felt it was the responsible thing to do for his family, the Dodgers organization and the entire community."

Jamie's attorneys declined to comment, citing Lichtman's orders.

'Rampage' (finally) suffers a definitive loss

There will never be answer to who really won last night's main event at UFC 123. Some favor Quinton "Rampage" Jackson while others liked the Octagon control exhibited by Lyoto Machida. Jackson took a split decision win from the Brazilian. He stated several times that he was lucky to win and even said Machida deserved a rematch.

The good feelings continued until Rampage arrived back home in Los Angeles. That's when he decided to take on his manager Anthony McGann. Jackson got nailed playing bag tag and went for a ride.

NASCAR Chairman Brian France Still Considering Changes for 2011

HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- Even in the midst of the most dramatic championship scenario NASCAR has had since the inception of its Chase for the Sprint Cup playoff, NASCAR Chairman Brian France said Friday he is still considering changes to the sport, including shortening the length of some races.

In a wide-ranging news conference at Homestead-Miami Speedway, site of Sunday's Ford 400 season finale, France shot down the possibility of moving the final race from South Florida and dismissed the likelihood of ever ending the year at Daytona International Speedway, which is a popular fan suggestion. He also spoke about the lagging television ratings and promised to announce impactful changes to the Nationwide Series in January.

Overall, however, France said this year's tight championship is a result of productive changes NASCAR had already introduced. Denny Hamlin's 15-point edge over Jimmie Johnson is the closest margin entering the final race in seven years. And Kevin Harvick is only 46 points back.

"I think the fact that we are so far into the cycle of, 'It's not the new car anymore, it's the car', and various other little things that we did, all have come together to give us ... if this isn't the best racing we've seen in a long, long time, I think I would be very surprised to hear anybody say that it wasn't,'' France said.

College Football TV Schedule: Week 14

college football tv scheduleCollege football's regular season is coming to a screeching halt, but the TV schedule for Week 14 isn't barren. There are some marquee matchups, including some rivalries and conference championships.

The big ones are obviously atop the BCS Standings.

BCS No. 1 Auburn will square off against South Carolina in the SEC Championship. It is the last hurdle for Auburn to get to the national championship game for for Cam Newton to win the Heisman Trophy. The game will be a rematch of Auburn's 35-27 win back in September, but that game was at Auburn. This one is on a neutral field. As for on the tube, you'll find it on CBS at 4 p.m. Eastern.

BCS No. 2 Oregon only has to beat a 5-6 Oregon State team to advance to the BCS championship. Of course, it is the Civil War and a road game for the Ducks, so anything can happen. LaMichael James will try to take the Heisman from Newton while helping his team advance to the big one. That game will be aired on ABC just a half hour prior to the SEC title game.

As for the rest, you'll find the list below. Surprisingly a good amount of watchable games despite the number of games from which to choose.

All times p.m. and Eastern
